Dean Barlow

Dean Barlow began his professional career as a teenager. As a young performer he worked with Golden Age stars such as Judy Garland, Sammy Davis, Jr., Lucille Ball, George Burns, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin, Dorothy Dandridge and many more. He was a featured dancer in major nightclubs, and has opened several Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe hotels, including the Sahara Hotel, The Sands, and the Desert Inn. He has traveled the world performing in iconic nightclubs with stars such as Marlene Dietrich, and Mamie Van Doren.
Dean Barlow began teaching in 1970, and in 1975 he established B&B Dance Center.  Because of his strong foundation in technique, and his unbending drive for perfection, he has coached many professional adults and children to reach success in the entertainment industry. He is an internationally recognized dancer and teacher, not only for his ability to shape professional level dancers, but also for his knowledge of tap dancing and its history, and his innovative choreography.
Many of his students are currently active in commercials and various theatrical engagements.  In addition to teaching classes and private lessons, he also coaches professional Broadway dancers working in shows such as 42nd Street, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and the Beast, The Producers, Vegas engagements, and many more.

DEAN BARLOW coaches numerous top film, television, and theater actors in dance. He has also choreographed for the Academy Awards and for the American Music Awards, for which he won an Emmy Award for Best Choreography with Paula Abdul.
